Retreats are organized events designed with specific activities for a specific goal in mind. They can range from a Corporate retreat attempting to gain cohesion, leadership, or other benefits for their business,, or on the other spectrum, a religious or spiritual retreat in an attempt to help with self awareness, growth and development, health or knowledge.
They are usually done in person and on location, outside of town or somewhere that allows a descent size room like a church, a hotel, or something like this. There are also dedicated places that are set up as retreat centers. They will have larger enclosed areas for either mediation or other activities, along with a kitchen and sleeping facilities to accommodate folks for a period of time like a weekend.
In today's world of technology, we can hold " On Line" interactive meetings and activities. Most are held through new software programs such as Zoom or other programs that allow folks to connect via your computer or phone. These programs allow everyone to electronically connect in different ways so that many folks can connect at one time and each participant can stay in the convenience of your home, the beach or wherever. One of the biggest advantages of this On Line method is that it is very affordable compared of having to pass along the cost of a regular facility.
Our Retreats are mainly held via On Line. We do look forward to traveling and meeting folks in person as well, but for now, we are 100 % On Line. Whenever we have an event, it will be featured via Zoom or You Tube. You can usually follow a link on Eventbrite that will open right up to that class. This process is discussed further on another page, How to Connect with us.

During our retreats, we combine different types of meditation, such as Zen meditation, standing, seating and walking meditations, "Mindfulness", relaxing guided meditations, some Yoga, Tai Chi and Qi Gong mixed in. It also includes a question and answer session.
These different activities allow you to have a lot of different experiences, along with a chance for you to really look at life and yourself. The Retreats really offer a whole lot more than the regular classes. The minimum time is 2 hours and can last for an entire day or weekend.

Retreats are the ultimate way to really deepen a particular practice or help you achieve what goals you are working on. We look forward to weekend, week long Retreats and Mini Retreats. However, they do require time and effort. We would like to start mini retreats soon like from 5 am to 11 am, on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. That way you can experience a longer concentrated effort but still have the rest of the day for work or what have you. Each type of Retreat is different, thus presenting different activities, clothing, accommodations, etc. Our On line retreats also have unique qualities.
First off, the biggest benefit is the freedom, flexibility, and more affordable options. You have the freedom to stay in the convenience and comfort of your own home. The downside or greatest challenge is to ensure that you will not be disturbed. Please make sure that the stove is off, your phone is silenced,, and any background noise is either silenced or please place your end of the Zoom call on silent for the group. The short answer is to review all of the Q&A questions listed here and on the About Us page and then to make sure you set aside the scheduled time to not be disturbed. You have the total freedom if something does come up and you need to break away a minute to attend to family or whatever,,,, that is one of the benefits of being on line. Try to prepare your meals in advance and have them ready when needed for the break periods that we have. Otherwise, just be mentally prepared knowing that we will do a variety of meditation techniques.
You are welcome to work on list of questions that you may have now so that you will have them during that time. You can either include those with the group or in private,, either way that works best for you. Otherwise, be sure to wear loose and comfortable clothing. You can sit either on a pillow and mat designed for meditation or whatever works for you. You can also lie down or sit in a chair, a couch, or whatever makes you comfortable. This applies to adults, kids, and couples.

Select that date and it should also have Eventbrite information for you to click on and pay right then. You may also simply go to the calendar and select on those each time, it is up to you.

Eventbrite is a third party processing group that we use for Events. It will allow you to review the event information, purchase a ticket, reserve a seat, and provide any log in codes to join the Zoom On Line events. Please ask if you have any further questions.
Pricing varies depending on the event, etc. While prices start at $10.00, the average price is only $25.00.
