Guided meditations are perhaps the MOST common types of meditation for several reasons. So, a guided meditation is simply when after you create the space to begin meditating,,, you will have something or someone walk you through it as to what or how you should breathe, or what you may think,,, etc,,,,, They are designed for different reasons. The primary reason is to simply allow you a moment of peace, so that you can catch your breathe, etc,,,,,Please check out some of the samples that I have created for you on the Guided Meditations page:
Learning how to calm the mind or what to think during meditation seems to be the biggest question,,, so let's address that "here and now", lol,,,,

Sometimes the meditation world uses fancy/esoteric wording,,, but no worries, we got you covered,,,, So, the short answer for Qigong is that it is a very old practice, mainly out of China, that was an experiment and discovery process of learning and understanding the energies of the body and around it,,,, and how to feel it and cultivate it for a healthy purpose. Over the years of experimenting, there were different techniques to help the body heal and to use in Martial Arts. It can look very similar to Tai Chi, but they were developed by two different origins.
I use both of these to work into my classes. You are welcome to watch this sample You Tube video,,,,

What is Yoga and Low Impact exercise and how do you do that??? Great question, since it is so popular. I would say that the short version is that it's origins are from India and that those mystics that practiced many things to reach Enlightenment found out many things,, including the correlation between the body and the mind and how one affects the other, including both,,, knowledge and health. Over a period of time, they accumulated certain practices of movements with the body that assist with the health of the mind and the body. It is now one of the biggest practices widely known in the States. Honestly, I have only a little bit of experience in this world that I incorporate into my classes. Beyond this,, I have different Teachers that are happy to share this in greater detail with you!
Perhaps breathing is not one of the most thought of questions about meditation, but it is important, so let's look at that,,,,
